Hall offers four different services throughout the day; breakfast, lunch, early supper and Formal Hall. All are run every day of the week, aside from Saturday when Formal Hall doesn’t run and Sunday when breakfast and lunch are replaced by brunch.
You can find the menus for the forthcoming week on the college intranet, and book in your meals here. You only need to book early supper or Formal Hall, for the rest of your meals you pay at the counter on the way in. During term time, booking closes at 10am on the day of service. You always need to bring your own alcohol or other drinks to Formal Hall.

If you have any questions about Hall, be they dietary or related to booking in groups, you can contact the Head Steward, Margo (email@example.com). Also available as a channel for feedback on both Hall and the College Bar is the JCR Food and Bar Representative (firstname.lastname@example.org).
The College Bar is open every night of the week from 6:30pm until 11:00pm and is usually staffed by some combination of Neal and Alvaro (the full time staff) and Jules or Josh (the student staff). The Bar doesn’t open on the night of BOPs, when the staff instead serve drinks at the Sports Pavilion throughout the night.
The Bar is very reasonably priced and in close proximity to the Games Room, JCR and TV Room. Every Monday night of term at roughly 8:30pm, alternating each week, either the JCR or MCR Food and Bar Representative gives the Bar Quiz. The prize for the winning team is a set of Bar Tokens, each worth £2.
After Black Tie Formal and other special dinners in Hall, the bar is usually host to some truly atrocious karaoke, organised by the Entz Reps.
The bar is decorated with framed pictures of the college’s sports teams and JCR members (as well as the odd set of blades the rowers bring home) stretching back through the years.
Merton’s college drink, the mighty Power Pint (three vodka shots, a VK and a splash of Monster Energy), being modelled. 3 for £10 all night long.
