Nightline is a completely independent listening, support and information service run for and by students. It is also completely anonymous, and has no political, religious, moral or sexual bias. Nightline is not only there for people with major problems; sometimes you may feel like a break from the routine and just want to chat to someone. You can ask to speak to a man or a woman if you have a preference. In addition, they have an information bank containing, for example, the numbers of taxi firms, addresses of clinics, and bus or train timetables.
The service runs 8pm-8am every night, 0th – 9th week inclusive, and you can either ring on 01865 (2)70270 (free from your internal room phone), or drop into 16 Wellington Sq (about 10 minutes from Merton) for a cup of tea or coffee.
